It is not every day you learn how with a simple plan deserts can be made fertile, and how with a little help poor mountain coffee farmers can benefit from the luxury niche market. Inspiring talks from Dennis Karpes of the Naga Foundation and David Browning of the Coffee Initiative that get you out of your comfortable chair and wanting to help make a difference. The EMF Sponsor lunch In the quiet elegance of Restaurant De Kas brought together 120 guests - a piebald company of top industrialists and entrepreneurs. The organic food was refined, the atmosphere informal, the conversation relaxed. A perfect setting to make or renew contacts and to reflect on those less privileged.
In the words of its founder Allerd Stikker, EMF is “incredibly grateful” for the support it receives to continue its mission. We are especially indebted to our board member Jan Vet for organizing the event at rare spare moments, from winding mountain roads in Switzerland or hotel rooms in London and Tel Aviv. Our special thanks go to the Rabobank and Korn/Ferry International for once again so generously sponsoring the lunch itself.
