Allerd Stikker,
founder of EMF

 EMF was created in March 1990 by Allerd Stikker
In the early beginning the emphasis of EMF’s activities was on promoting and implementing environmental awareness and concrete actions in the corporate and banking sector in the Netherlands.
From 1995 EMF’s activities shifted to awareness and initiatives for practical solutions for the world water scarcity issue.
First and still today EMF works on ecologically acceptable and economically sound technologies for desalination of brackish and salt water.
Later and also still today EMF concentrates on social and appropriate technical solutions for clean drinking and sanitation water provisions in developing countries, in cooperation with the private sector and institutions in both the developed world and the developing world.
